Meson Cumbres Mayores is one of the gastronomic corners that you definitely must visit when visiting the Cadiz city centre. At their bar and restaurant you can enjoy a fine selection of Iberian cured hams, meats and dishes from the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park.

This rustic looking restaurant is placed on Zorrilla street, one of the most emblematic places in town to eat tapas. This place complements the local cuisine which is basically focused on fish and seafood.

They offer a traditional menu where you can sample the popular cuisine from Cumbres Mayores, a village placed at the Sierra de Huelva in the Natural Park of Aracena and Picos de Aroche.

The Iberian pig, which they cook and prepare in different ways, is the absolute highlight of this famous bar and restaurant.

You can also try their excellent selection of Iberian cured hams and meats such as chorizo, morcón (a type of chorizo) salami and lomo (Iberian-pork cured loin). Do Taste their traditional stews such as “carrillada ibérica estofada” ( spanish style porkcheeks) or “rabo de cerdo ibérico”( Iberian pork tail).

Or if you prefer, you can taste some of their grilled meats such as the Iberian pork entrecôte , the chops, the Iberian “secreto” and “presa” (different pork cuts) You can also enjoy some tasty and delicious lamb chops or the great “cumbreña barbecue”. All this accompanied by one of the excellent wines from their cellar.

This restaurant has definitely become a reference point for local gastronomy with a high culinary merit.
