The Gran Teatro Falla lives up to its first name “Gran Teatro de Cadiz”. It hosts all types of works related to the performing arts throughout the year, and is known for being the stage where the Official Carnival Groups Contest of Cadiz that takes place during the month of February.

Built on the same site where once several rooms were located, it was completed in 1910 by the architect Adolfo Morales. This is an exempt building, neo-Mudejar style with a brick exterior decorated by horseshoe arches.

In the great hall inside the boxes are made of iron structures using motifs Moorish inspiration, while the roof is covered with a frescoes by Felipe Abarzuza and Julius Moses in a vault Caliphate type is represented with allegorical scenes of arts. In 1926 it changed its name in honor of the famous Cadiz musician, honorary citizen of the city.”
