The Church of the Encarnacion, in Grazalema, was built after the Reconquest of the village at the end of the 15th century.

Built on a former Mudejar temple, the shaft of the minaret was transformed into a bell tower and has elements of monastic architecture.

It is dedicated to the worship of Nuestra Sra. De la Encarnación, including statues of the mystery of the Encarnacion de la Virgen and the Bishop Saint Atanasio (patron saint of the town).
