Iglesia de San Juan de Dios
The Church of San Juan de Dios is located in the heart of the old town, in the square that bears its name and is attached to the building of the Town Hall.
It is a rare example of a church shaped like a Greek cross. Outside, substantially renovated in the early 19th century, stands the tower, designed by Torcuato Cayon in 1768.
In its interior you can see the altarpiece of Baroque style and dated back to 1688, made in gilt wood. It is chaired by the image of the Virgen del Buen Suceso, on whose sides are the polychromed carvings of San Rafael and San Carlos Borromeo, while the attic of the altarpiece is occupied by the image of San Juan de Dios in Baroque style.
