Culture in Alcala del Valle
Plaza del Emigrante, Alcalá del Valle
It is one of the largest in Alcalá del Valle. In the center there is a statue that honors all civilians who had to emigrate and leave their homes to work.
Convento de Caños Santos
It’s situated near the place where, according to popular belief, the Virgin appeared resulting in it its current name. It was built in the 16th century.
Iglesia Santa María del Valle
It is a baroque building dedicated to the patron saint of Alcalá del Valle built between the 17th and 18th centuries.
It captures its natural water from a spring named alike which flows through five caños, ending in the old communal laundry, today recovered for ornamental use and protected with a base.
