The Natural Park of los Alcornocales is the natural jewel of the province of Cadiz. It is composed of one the largest cork oak forests in the world and is one of the most important protected areas in Andalusia, being the third Park in this land, reaching the Strait of Gibraltar.
Inside, rhododendrons, ferns and laurels grow in the shadows. In its southern part are the “canutos”, river valleys in which plant species from the tertiary period survive.
It is an important point of ecological, rural and educational tourism. It combines archaeological, cultural, historical and monumental and sustainable economic values.
