Situated between the Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales Natural Parks, it has been populated since Neolithic times, as attested by the archaeological site of the Cueva de la Dehesilla.
Its artistic heritage is represented by the Santa Maria de Guadalupe Parish Church and the Town Hall, both neoclassical and the Plaza de Toros.
Due to its privileged location, there are many possibilities for leisure activities that visitors can do. A must is the Rally ascent to Algar, which every year gathers many car fans.
