Culture in Grazalema
Iglesia de San José, Grazalema
It is a temple from the 17th century and was part of a Carmelite convent. The temple contains some gems like the paintings on the dome of a pupil of the Mater Murillo or the statue of the Immaculate Conception.
Ermita de los Angeles
It is a small temple from the late 19th century which houses the patron saint of Grazalema. It is located in a beautiful spot on the outskirts of the village. In its interior standing out is an altar with a beautiful statue of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles.
Iglesia de San Juan, Grazalema
It is a temple from the 18th century built on an ancient mosque which has preserved some elements. Most notable is its tower, divided into several sections and a Moorish arch at the lower part. It currently hosts a Youth Cultural Center.
Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Aurora
It is a temple from the 18th century and was undoubtedly the most important building in the whole historical set of Grazalema. Unfortunately, it is in ruins, which prevents access to it.
Iglesia de la Encarnación
It was built after the Reconquest of the village at the end of the 15th century. Built on a former Mudejar temple, the shaft of the minaret was transformed into a bell tower and has elements of monastic architecture.
