Nature in Puerto Real
Playa de la Cachucha
It has a length of 350 m and is located in the village itself, next to City Hall and between two protective breakwaters. Urban beach with promenade, golden sand, average utilization and calm sea. It offeres some services.
Playa del Río San Pedro
It has a length of 1.6 km and is in the district of Rio San Pedro. It’s just next to the beach Playa de Levante in El Puerto de Santa María. Urban beach with promenade, golden sand, low utilization and moderate swell. Strong currents make it sometimes a bit dangerous.
Bahía de Cádiz
It is situated on a large area of wetlands. The special ecological characteristics of the area are given by the influence of the nearby ocean and the mild Mediterranean climate.
Complejo Endorreico de Puerto Real
It is a Natural Reserve that consists of three lagoons, the Comisario, the Taraje and the San Antonio lagoons. The value of this reserve lies in its bird wildlife, being an important nesting and wintering shelter, because of this it has been declared a Special Protection Area for Birds.
