What to see in San Roque
Playa de Guadarranque
It´s more or less 0.5 km long. It is situated in the Barriada de Guadarranque area on the outskirts of Algeciras. Industrial area and slightly unkempt surroundings. Urban beach with promenade, golden sand, high utilization and calm water. It offeres some services.
Cala Milla de Plata
It consists of three bays of various shapes and sizes. The cliffs that form this coast, make these bays worth to visit. There are small areas of sandy beaches, but rather rocky.
Playa del Cabrero / Cala Taraje / Cala Sardina
It has a length of about 1 km and is located on the outskirts of Torreguardiaro. Lonely beach, virgin, no promenade, dark sand and calm waters. It offered some services. It has a wide access road where RVs are parking usually.
Playa de Torrecarbonera / El Balneario
It has a slightly length of 1.3 km and is located in a natural environment. Lonely beach, no promenade, dark sand, average occupancy and moderate swell. It offeres some services.
Playa de Torreguadiaro
It´s slightly longer then 1.3 km and is located in a fishing area, luxury apartments and Sotogrande Harbor. Urban beach with promenade, dark sand with small gravel, high utilization and moderate swell. Services available.
Playa de la Alcaidesa
It has a length of 1.5 km and is in the area of residential district with the same name. City beach with dark sand and moderate swell. Some services are available.
Pinar del Rey
Huge forest park that has become one of the most important lungs of the Campo de Gibraltar.
Yacimiento arqueológico de Carteia
Located in the House of Culture of the City Hall of San Roque it is a museum devoted exclusively to exhibit materials and objects from Carteia, the first Latin colony outside the territory of Rome.
Playa de Sotogrande
It´s about 2 km long and is located in the exclusive area of Sotogrande. Urban beach, no promenade, dark sand, high utilization and moderate swell. There are services and the opportunity to do sports are given.
