What to see in Vejer de la Frontera
Playa del Palmar
It is one of our favorite places in the province of Cadiz. It is a very well-equipped, long sandy beach. There you can surf, shop and have fun or eat in the spectacular restaurants. Perfect for relaxing or you will witness one of the most beautiful sunsets.

Convento de las Monjas Concepcionistas
The portal of the Church is in the Renaissance style. Next to it is the most emblematic street of the city, the so called Arch of the Nuns, consisting of a series of buttresses supporting the lateral wall, placed as a result of the earthquake that struck the town in the 18th century. Today the building houses the Municipal Museum of Customs and Traditions of Vejer.

Built on top of another castle of Arabic origin, it is possibly the oldest inhabited area in Vejer. It is included within the Group of “Minor castles” because it has only one entrance and one exit placed where it was most accessible and easiest to defend.
